Portico, Cityview’s 378-unit multifamily project in Oakland’s Brooklyn Basin planned community, was recently honored with a Silver Award in the National Association for Home Builders (NAHB’s) Best in American Living Awards. The community was recognized among the top five mid-rise communities nationwide and is now eligible for the top Gold Award.
An ideal mix of urban energy and natural serenity, Portico combines access to city living with a serene waterfront setting. Cityview was able to leverage our extensive experience developing both in the Bay Area and in opportunity zones to deliver highly amenitized, ideally located housing for the community.
The eight-story opportunity zone project is located in the tranquil Brooklyn Basin master-planned community, with connectivity to downtown Oakland and San Francisco. The project features a mix of studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments as well as townhomes, with more than 80% of the units overlooking the water with stunning bay views. The community is located on the premier parcel within Brooklyn Basin, which offers residents private security, local events and a community shuttle providing connectivity throughout Oakland and into San Francisco.
Portico’s amenities are thoughtfully designed to help residents relax and rejuvenate, and include a rooftop sky lounge, a resort-style pool and spa deck and a park-like outdoor courtyard featuring fireplaces, outdoor games and a community garden. The community’s indoor/outdoor fitness space features state-of-the-art equipment and a movement studio, while the clubhouse, community wine room, game room and leasing lobby lounge provide space for residents to connect and entertain. A pet-friendly community, Portico also features an outdoor pet spa and pet park.
