Multifamily developer Cityview and investor Stockbridge have completed a 265-unit apartment community in Los Angeles’ South Bay.
Leasing has begun at Apollo in Gardena. The eight-story building at 12888 Crenshaw Blvd. features a mix of studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom floor plans with in-unit washers and dryers, vinyl flooring, stainless steel appliances and smart home systems.
Cityview and Stockbridge partnered with Westport Construction, AC Martin, Nadia Geller Designs and MJS Landscape Architecture on the project.
The developers broke ground on the apartment development in September 2023 and topped off the project in December 2024.
Amenities at Apollo include a resort-style pool and spa terrace with lounge seating; al fresco dining area with outdoor kitchen and seating; a media room; outdoor game deck; indoor sports simulator; fitness center; coworking space; a pet-friendly playground and pet washroom.
On the side of the building is a large-format digital display, used for advertising and community programming.
Cityview and Stockbridge are aiming for LEED Silver certification at Apollo, which they say is “20-30% more efficient than similar non-green buildings.” Sustainable features include high-efficiency windows and HVAC; Energy Star-certified appliances; a solar thermal water system and ultra-efficient low-flow water fixtures.
Elsewhere in the Los Angeles area, Cityview is building a mixed-use project with nearly 490 units, 16,100 square feet of ground-floor retail and 550 parking spaces in Westchester. The project at 6136 W. Manchester Ave. is fully entitled and is expected to break ground this year.
