ArcLight

SAN FRANCISCO, CA

Located in the highly desirable South Beach section of San Francisco, Arc Light is an adaptive reuse of a 19th century building that originally housed the historic California Electric Light Company, Station B where arc and incandescent lights were stored that were used to generate electricity for electric light service. CityView acquired the building in 2012.

Keeping with the mission of historic preservation, the site was transformed into 94 contemporary lofts – a mix of studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom units – in a six-story building, featuring two stories of restored brick façade topped by a four-story glass and metal structure that complements the historic context. The Arc Light is the first residential building in San Francisco to receive LEED™ for Homes Mid-rise Gold certification. It is also home on the ground floor to the Michelin Three-Star rated Saison restaurant.
